The Money Apps to Have in 2020!

*Please Note: Some links may be affiliate. I will post unaffiliated links as well.

With the New Year comes the resolution to want to make more money. Now you can do it from your phone! These are the latest apps that I personally use. I start at the beginning of the year, and end up using it for Birthdays or Christmas without using anything out of pocket! Some of these take time, so do not expect to make tons of money overnight.

Ibotta
"Groceries, clothing, pet supplies — these are the purchases you make every day. When you shop with Ibotta, you’ll earn cash back whenever you shop, both online and in-store." -Ibotta Homepage
This is the app to have! You are going to have to go grocery shopping anyway, so you might as well get some money for your time! One of the ways that it works is you pre-select what you intend to purchase, and then you submit your receipt by taking a picture of it. Another way is to shop online through the app to earn cash back.
You can cash out via PayPal or gift cards to popular retailers.
Pros:
1. You are already going to grocery shop, get rewarded for it!
2. There is cash back for "any" of a particular product. (Example: 10¢ for any purchase of milk.)
3. Easy to use and navigate
4. There are plenty of opportunities for bonus cash!
Cons:
1. For long receipts (that are not Walmart), you may have to take multiple pictures.
2. There is a $20 threshold to reach before you cash out.
This app is available for download in the Apple Store and the Google Play store.

Fetch Rewards
"We work directly with popular brands to bring you savings on thousands of products every day, no matter where you get your groceries. Just scan your receipts and let us do all the work." -Fetch Homepage
Just like Ibotta, this app is for submitting grocery receipts, but it focuses more on name brand products. You do still get rewarded for just submitting a receipt. Rewards can be redeemed for popular store gift cards or Sweepstakes entries
Pros:
1. It is a lot easier to navigate than its major competitor.
2. Cash out is at $3
3. Has the option to make a grocery list
Cons:
1. Submitting a receipt takes at least 5 minutes, as you have to get every part of the receipt.
2. It is strictly an app, so you can't submit receipts online.
3. You really have to pay attention to the Brand Name of products to make the most in this App.
Available for both Apple and Android, you can download here (affliate) or here.

S'mores
"Get paid every day to put ads & content on your lock screen. That’s it, no catch." -S'mores
Every day, multiple times a day, you have to unlock your phone to get to the homepage because you have a lock screen in place. Replace it with ads and get paid for it. It is super simple to use and makes you at LEAST 10¢ a day for just unlocking your phone! Make more by referrals and watching videos within the app.
Pros:
1. This app is literally a set it and forget it. You get 10¢ for just unlocking your phone.
2. Super easy to navigate.
3. Redemption threshold is only $1!
Cons:
The only con to this app is that its ads. Ads.. on your phone..
This app is only available via the Google Play store but you can find it here (affiliate) and here.

Swagbucks
"The web's most popular rewards program that gives you free gift cards and cash for the everyday things you already do online." - Swagbucks About Page
This is my favorite earning app. You can watch video clips, take surveys, shop, or just click around to earn Swagbucks or SB. 1 SB is equal to 1¢. You can also earn by sharing with friends, and when they make money, you get 10%. This has been my favorite way to earn extra money, just by using an app. Pros:
1. This app is available on all platforms, including the desktop.
2. SB can be redeemed for gift cards or cash (via Paypal).
3. The redemption threshold is $1.
4. They have a live trivia game every weekday
Cons:
1. While one app does it all, there are options to download apps for just surveys or videos, which can take up space.
2. It takes a bit to earn up points
3. Surveys are particular and you may not qualify for every single one.
As I said, it is on every platform, and you can find it here (affiliate) and here.

Conversationally
"Get paid to use your smart speaker!" - Conversationally's website
This is a set it and forget it app, but you must have a smart speaker, such as an Amazon Echo or a Google Home, otherwise it will not work for you. You earn $5 every month for using your speaker for at least five times, and have the possibilities for $100. As an extra bonus, you get $2 for every referral that you make, and they get $2 as well.
Pros:
1. It's an extra $5 every month.
2. App is easy and connects to your Amazon or Google account easily.
3. Automatically enters you for contests
4. Is consistent about deposits and is always down on the 10th of the month
Cons:
1. It automatically deposits (Paypal)the reward monthly, rather than being able to build it up before cashing out.
2. Sometimes it disconnects from my Amazon account, and I have to reconnect it. It can be frustrating.
It is available to both Android and Apple, as well as a desktop. You can connect with them here (affiliate) and here.

These apps have helped me get gas, presents, and groceries. They are also great boredom busters! I love that I can take my time with some of them, and others I can just leave it and forget it or just simply unlock my phone. Yes, they do take up precious space, but not very much. It's worth it when just using these apps for a month can make you at least $10!
