Arcadia Power was founded in 2014 by Kiran Bhatraju and Ryan Nesbitt as a way to offer clean energy and savings to the nation, offering monthly billing to your local power company, access to wind energy, and access to community solar projects. They have been an accredited business with Better Business Bureau since 7/18/2014, and currently have a "B" rating. They are also a part of Department of Energy’s National Community Solar Partnership, a Green America certified Gold member, and a member of AWEA and SEIA.
My journey with Arcadia begun 9/27/19, when I was searching for ways to make sure that my electric bill was affordable while still trying to conserve energy and use natural, renewable resources.
This is how it works:
You sign up for a free account, linking your utility company with them. Once you are verified, you can enroll in the clean energy and savings programs in your particular area. They have five different options.
Bill Pay: You pay your utility bill straight through Arcadia. They send you the statement, which will have the utility charges (how much energy you used) and other charges or savings from programs you use. ***You cannot have a balance with your utility company, as Arcadia will place it on the bill to be paid immediately, and this includes deposits.
Wind Energy: You have the option to make sure that 50% of the energy you use comes from wind. This comes at NO cost to you. You do have the option to make it 100%, but it does cost 1.5¢ per kWh.
Smart Rate: When you sign up and connect an account, Arcadia automatically starts looking for a lower rate per kWh and will enroll you in it as soon as they find one.
Community Solar: You have the options to help the development of new solar projects, and for each panel you purchase, you receive solar savings without having to worry about installing solar. Each panel is $100, and it saves you about $1 per month.
Home Efficiency: This is sort of a layaway program for home efficiency products. There is no upfront charge, and you pay over time.
Only certain programs are available in certain areas. The have a page to see what programs are available in your particular area.
Programs that I use:
Bill Pay, 50% wind energy, and Smart Rate. I would use the Home Efficiency program, but there is a waiting list.
On your dashboard:
Graph: The first thing you will notice is the graph that pulls up on your dashboard. This is to show you a trend in your energy use, as well as compare it to the average energy use of others.
Clean kWh: This shows you the amount of kWh purchased in the lifetime of your account.
Clean Impact: This compares the clean kWh that you purchased to the amount of CO2 that you would have used by not using their programs.
Referrals: This shows the number of people that you referred. For each referral you both get $25 toward your bill. Right now, if you get 10 referrals, they give you $1000 toward your utility bill.

I am also including my energy statement for December 2019 - January 2020:
Overall
I love Arcadia Power, and I love that they are helping the environment while saving me money. As you can see in the pictures, these savings are purely based on my energy usage.
For legal reasons, I do have to say that I am NOT in any way affiliated with Arcadia Power and have NOT included a referral link in this post. If you want to use my link, please feel free to view it in the previous post titled, "Money in the Vents."
